Throughout the Holy Quran are themes of altruism and ummah (community). These are the qualities that the VolunteersWork organization echoes as necessary components of the Muslim life. It is the hope of the organization that we make fulfilling one’s religious obligations of self-sacrifice and service to the community more easily attainable.

Once you have decided on an organization that you would like to work with
contact them directly using the contact information printed in their listing.
You and the organization’s volunteer coordinator will then work together to
make your volunteer experience the most beneficial and rewarding that it
can be.

We encourage active volunteers, mosques and businesses to join our email list and RSS feed. VolunteersWork will send updates on recent additions to our volunteer agency directory and new volunteer opportunities. We do not request any other contact information other than your name and email address.

One Time Opportunities
This section features short-term or one day events. The organizations hosting these events need volunteers to assist them with various tasks. Examples of one time opportunities include assisting with neighborhood cleanups, 5k fundraiser races, or even working a booth at a charity bazaar.
